बर्दवान: पश्चिम बंगाल की पुलिस ने बुधवार को राज्य के पूर्वी बर्दवान जिले में कोयला व्यापारी और भाजपा नेता राजू झा की एक अप्रैल को हुई हत्या के मामले में एक व्यक्ति को गिरफ्तार किया है। गिरफ्तार व्यक्ति की पहचान पश्चिम बर्दवान जिले के पानागढ़ निवासी अविजीत मंडल के रूप में हुई है। पता चला है कि वह एक अन्य कोयला व्यापारी नारायण खागरा का ड्राइवर है, जो कभी राजू झा का करीबी था।झा की एनएच-19 पर शक्तिगढ़ में मिठाई की दुकान के पास गोली मारकर हत्या कर दी गई थी। उनके साथ एसयूवी में यात्रा कर रहे उनके सहयोगी ब्रोटिन बंदोपाध्याय हमले में घायल हो गए। इस बीच, दो अन्य व्यक्तियों, जो दुगार्पुर सिटी सेंटर में नारायण के कार्यालय में कर्मचारी हैं, उनको भी पूछताछ के लिए हिरासत में लिया गया है।अविजीत मंडल को बुधवार को अदालत में पेश किया गया, जिसके बाद उसे 14 दिनों की न्यायिक हिरासत में भेज दिया गया। पूर्वी बर्दवान जिले के पुलिस अधीक्षक कमानशीष सेन ने कहा कि पुलिस इस मामले में मंडल से उसकी संलिप्तता के बारे में पूछताछ करेगी।झा का कथित तौर पर आपराधिक रिकॉर्ड था। जुलाई 2011 में, पश्चिम बंगाल में तृणमूल कांग्रेस के सत्ता में आने के महीनों बाद, पुलिस ने रानीगंज में राजू झा को गिरफ्तार किया था, लेकिन वह जमानत पर बाहर आ गए थे। तब से, उन्हें कई बार गिरफ्तार किया गया है।प्रवर्तन निदेशालय (ईडी) ने उनसे राज्य में करोड़ों रुपये के कोयला तस्करी घोटाले की एजेंसी की जांच के संबंध में भी पूछताछ की थी।
