सांकतोड़िया:सार्वजनिक उद्यम चयन बोर्ड (पीईएसबी) से चयनोपरांत कोयला मंत्रालय, भारत सरकार और कोल इंडिया लिमिटेड के आदेशों के आलोक में नीलेंदु कुमार सिंह ने ईस्टर्न कोलफील्ड्स लिमिटेड के निदेशक (तकनीकी) का पदभार ग्रहण किया ।श्री सिंह देश के प्रतिष्ठित संस्थान, भारतीय प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थान (भारतीय खनि विद्यापीठ), धनबाद से वर्ष 1989 में प्रौद्योगिकी(खनन) में स्नातक हैं। इसके उपरान्त उन्होंने वर्ष 1994 में फर्स्ट क्लास माइन्स मैनेजर सर्टिफिकेट ऑफ़ कोंपिटेंसी प्राप्त किया।श्री सिंह ने कोल इंडिया लिमिटेड में अपने कैरियर की शुरुआत वर्ष 1989 में सेंट्रल कोलफील्ड्स लिमिटेड से की और उन्हें कोल इंडिया लिमिटेड की विभिन्न अनुषंगी कंपनियों में कार्य करने का 33 वर्षों से अधिक का दीर्घकालीन और विविध अनुभव प्राप्त है। वे 22 वर्षों तक, सीसीएल में कार्यरत थे, इस दौरान वे सीसीएल की पिपरवार, अशोका, यूरिमारी एवं कल्याणी परियोजनाओं में पदस्थ रहे।ईसीएल में कार्य योगदान से पूर्व, श्री सिंह साउथ ईस्टर्न कोलफील्ड्स लिमिटेड में कार्यरत थे, वहाँ उन्होंने ख़ान प्रबंधक से लेकर क्षेत्रीय महाप्रबंधक के रूप में एसईसीएल के गेवरा, दीपिका, कोरबा एवं रायगढ़ क्षेत्रों में अपनी सेवाएँ दी हैं।उन्हें आधुनिक खनन तकनीकों के संचालन में विशेष अनुभव प्राप्त है। उन्होंने वर्ष 1997 में अग्रिम खनन तकनीकों में अनुभव प्राप्त करने के लिए ऑस्ट्रेलिया का दौरा भी किया है।अपने आधिकारिक कार्यों के अतिरिक्त, उन्हें खेलों और पेंटिंग में भी विशेष रुचि है। उन्होंने वॉलीबॉल में अखिल भारतीय विश्वविद्यालय स्तर पर प्रतिनिधित्व किया है।वे प्रकृति प्रेमी तथा उत्कृष्ट मूल्यों के व्यक्ति हैं। वे लोगों से जुड़े हुए रहते हैं एवं उनकी नेतृत्व की योग्यता अपने अधीनस्थों को आत्मविश्वास और जोश के साथ कार्य करने की प्रेरणा देती है।
